Surroundings and places of interest
We're proud to announce that our pension is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the Eifel.Besides the many hiking and biking trails there's a lot to do and a lot to experience.A long weekend or a week is definitely too short to visit the many attractions.You can visit many castles, gamereserves and more, in most cases at a half hour's distance. Below we try to make a combination of attractions you should not miss.
Vulkaan-express / Brohl - Engeln
15 km. / ca. 15 minuten
Beautiful track between Brohl and Engeln. Enjoy an oldfashioned trainjourney through the Vulkan Eifel.During the trip you can buy refreshments in the restaurationwagon,but more so you can enjoy a tasty lunch at a fair price at the endstation. Do take your camera with you so you can shoot great pictures.

Somer Luge-run / Altenahr
19 km. / ca. 20 minuten
Perhaps not only for the young, but also for the old:a ride on the summer-luge is always quite an experience. For the kids it's gonna be a beautiful day when they can ride horseback, especially suitable as a half day's passtime. You can combine it with the Altenahr cablelift.Altenahr is also a beutiful place to enjoy the lovely terraces and beautiful streets.

Burg Olbrück / Niederdürenbach-Hain
29 km. / ca. 30 minuten
This burg is really unique! Make an exciting, interactive tour, lighteffects included. Lose yourself in the story, experience it yourself, a real time-travel.

Eagle and wolves reserve / Kasselburg
46 km. / ca. 50 minuten
The picture emanates fear, this day out can easily be called exciting. A lot is happening in the beautiful old burg: everyday 2 falconshows and you have to see the feeding of the wolves.

Game reserve / Daun
30 km. / ca. 35 minuten
A beautiful park for the young and old. An 8 km long motorway runs through this reserve and you can see wildlife at close quarters.Everyday shows are being given by a falconeer. Kids can fully enjoy a playground and even a luge-run.

Cableway / Altenahr
20 km. / ca. 20 minuten
The Altenahr-cableway is certainly worth a visit, combined with a fantastic walk, enjoying the many panoramas, in combination with the summer-luge, situated at a kilometer's distance.
Watch this heading, we're still trying to find new attractions.For example in Daun there's a great game reserve and there's a lot to tell about the region of Cochem o/t Moesel.
